How to disable the shared workspace column in Office 2003 by default

At my current client, we have lots of users still working in Office 2003. One of these users asked me if there was a way to get rid of the Shared Workspace column.
Here is how:

In Word 2003 go to Tools-> options -> general -> service options -> shared workspace
uncheck ‘the document is part of a workspace or sharepoint site’
Done!!

  1. SharePoint 2010 is a collaboration tool which connects & empowers people through its integrated set of rich features. But does this statement really reflect its real capabilities!!!
