After the ubiquitous joke about 42 being the answer to everything, the boys get to talk with Dylan Hayes, who is an allround ubercool guy. After that, we talk all about Lists and their new role in the Office 365 platform.
Talking with Dylan Hayes
This guy has worked on an oil platform, he is doing marathons before breakfast, he is doing a Bond villain session with multiple cameras to show what is happening. Even if you don’t like our podcast, which we can’t really imagine, listen to this man!
Microsoft Lists governance
Now that Microsoft Lists is rolling out, what are the governance consequences of it? Do you go through the process of turning it off, and doing the governance and compliance work first?
Our take: it is coming from SharePoint.. which is compliant and regulated. You are covered for compliance, GDPR, governance. Don’t turn if off with some PowerShell, but let it roll. Put it in the newsletters, do the communication work.
Personal lists are coming from your “OneDrive”. Which is also running SharePoint behind the scenes.
Whisky: Bruichladdich Octomore 9.1 Dialogos
This whisky, from Marijn’s favorite island Islay, is a real heavy lifter. This is a bold, super heavy peated whisky that is definitely not for the faint of heart.

This whisky from Bruichladdich is limited to just 4200 bottles and is being described as “an iron fist in a velvet glove”. With a peat particle count of 156 PPM, there is nothing gentle to it. Matured for 5 years in American oak barrels (Jim Bean/Jack Daniels/ …) and grown from Concerto barley you get an explosion in your mouth.
