Office 365 Distilled EP 29: 43 Admins and a Cooper walk into a bar

Steve and Marijn dream about getting some casks of whisky. Maybe when we get all the admins from our clients to donate, we might just get there!

How many admins does it take to screw in an Office 365 lightbulb?

Don’t run automatic scripts with a global admin account. There is a long list of admin functions, 43 to be precise. And then we are not even talking  about Azure or the compliance part.

Do you want your helpdesk to have access to the admins centers?

They need to have read access to your admin centers, so they can at least check if certain things are in place.
Desired State (github) might be a solution too.

Dear Jeff

Every now and again we need to ventilate our concerns, spoiled brats that we are. This time, we really need people to stop creating folders in their synced libraries.. We need metadata on the file explorer!

The issue today is that in document libraries, we set up our metadata based views with filtering and grouping. When you sync this to your file explorer, it is a flat list and we need folders to have some structure in it.

Whiskey: Green Spot Leoville Barton Bordeaux Finish

We had that amazing Ledaig and Tobermory last few episodes. What can we drink to top that? Well, this week we are looking at finishes.

What happens when you mix some Irish and France? You get a dram that went from a bourbon cask, to olorosso cask and then to a Bordeaux cask to finish for 6 months.

Green Spot / Leoville Barton Bordeaux Finish
Green Spot whiskey, with a Bordeaux finish

The color is heavy amber. The nose has some citrus, green apples and sherry. You can smell the bordeaux coming through without losing its Irish heritage on the nose. This results in a very, very nice drink. It is sharp on the tip of your tongue, where it has some lemon caramel, lemon curd notes. A dry aftertaste finishes it off.

We also talk about chill filtered vs unchill filtered. We now know that when you don’t have a cask strenght dram, you need to add some water. When you don’t chill filter, it will go cloudy because of the oil that are in there. So the question is does that make a difference?
